Eugene O’ Reilly nominated for “Coach of the Year”
Leinster Handball Council nominated Eugene O’Reilly for “Coach of the Year” Award. This is a hugely significant award for Eugene and for the Crossakiel Club. Eugene has been instrumental in setting up a Juvenile section in the Club and already a number of Eugene’s young players are showing great promise. Eugene before taking on the role as Club Coach was Coach in the Abbeylara Club in Longford and did stupendous work while there. Abbeylara’s loss was certainly our gain in Crossakiel. Eugene is also an accomplished handball player having won the National One-Wall title in Sligo, a U.S. Champion and just last May he won the double of Canadian Handball National Championships in Burlington Ontatrio Canada. Eugene will come up against Martin Mullen Tyrone, Tom Foody Sligo & Donal Hayes Limerick for the National Award. The winners will be announced at the Irish Handball Council's All-Star Award's evening on Saturday November 27th next in the Hogan suite in Croke Park. Everyone associated with the Club would like to congratulate Eugene on his latest achievement.
