Eugene O’Reilly knocked out in quarter-finals
Crossakiel’s Eugene O’Reilly attempts to reach the semi-finals of the 2011 Irish Nationals Men's C competition came unstuck when he fell to local player Darren O’Toole in the quarters last weekend. Eugene lost out to Wexford man by 21-14, 21-5. Eugene’s doubles partner Eugene Flanagan reached the final but was beaten by Carlow’s Daniel Fenton by 21-12, 21-4 in the final. Westmeath’s Robbie McCarthy & Antrim’s Fiona Shannon were the winners in the Men’s and Ladies finals respectively.
